One of the things that I love about the start of the year from a design perspective is watching how the colours that have been selected by various paint brands for their "colour of the year" are being implemented. It's no secret that the announcement of 'The Pantone Colour of the Year' is highly anticipated due to the fact that these carefully selected colours have an impact on so many other industries alongside home interiors, such as, fashion, and graphic design.
It's not a colour that is simply picked from a colour chart; Pantone's color experts conduct extensive research and analysis of global trends, cultural influences, and socioeconomic conditions to determine the color that best encapsulates the mood and spirit of the upcoming year.
I am pleased that their selection for 2024 is a calm and nurturing hue, otherwise known as "Peach Fuzz" this colour encourages us to "embrace the warmth" and I adore it; because there are so many ways you can add this colour to your home either on your walls or within your decor items so that you can create a warm and inviting atmosphere for you and your guests.
I've handpicked some items to show you examples of what you can source in this wonderful tone but also ideas where you can simply complement what you already have,
“A cozy peach hue softly nestled between pink and orange, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz brings belonging, inspires recalibraton, and an opportunity for nurturing, conjuring up an air of calm, offering us a space to be, feel, and heal and to flourish from whether spending time with others or taking the time to enjoy a moment by ourselves,”
