Steampunk wedding inspiration
I have a great Steampunk inspiration shoot to share with you today, which was sent over from the lovely Jessica from Love Bird Style.
We've featured Jessica's great styling before. Not only did she style her own wedding, which you can view here. But she also created the gorgeous Apple of My Eye inspirational photo shoot, which you can see here.
Jessica tells me about the ideas behind today's shoot...
"When the girls of lace * paper * flowers were putting their designer heads together to come up with our next inspirational photo shoot, “steampunk” came up and we struggled to verbally define it! We found it intriguing and thought it would be visually interesting to take this esthetic movement and apply it to a wedding.
As the designer behind the concept, I invested tons of time researching the mystery of steampunk and approached this inspirational photo shoot as a challenge. I was pleasantly surprised when I found it encompassed components that I naturally find myself drawn to… timepieces, gears, keys and locks, an industrial aesthetic mixed with antiques, gold tones and deep colors. We hope you enjoy our version of steampunk, as we believe it translates the romance and mystery of a lost era."
