Matthew Williamson's London bridal trunk show
Last Thursday I was invited to Matthew Williamson's debut bridal trunk show at his flagship store in the heart of Mayfair.
I went along with my lovely friend Louisa from Denote Stationery. We were greeted with a glass of champagne, surrounded by fabulous flowers from Wild About, amazed by Peggy Porschen's wedding cakes and we were able to view Matthew Williamson's ready-to-wear collection too.
The store was breathtaking. There was a wonderful little oasis behind glass, at the rear of the store, where one of the gowns was beautifully displayed. I loved the little cherry tree in the corner and the bird and floral wallpaper covered in jewels was divine.
My favourite dress? The billowing full length 'parachute' gown, which drew gasps from the audience.
