A beautiful Gloucestershire wedding with a stunning Maggie Sottero (and Jenny Packham) bride... {part 2}
Sorry to have to make you wait for part two or Aimée and Rhydian's fabulous wedding at Cowley Manor, but now you have it. If you missed part one, you can see it here.
Thank you again to Oliver and Ruth Jones, for capturing their wedding perfectly. Oliver and Ruth are Cardiff based photographers who are also featured in our wedding directory.
Aimée goes on to tell me about her choice of blooms...
"Oops-a-Daisy is a florist in Cirencester, when my parents lived in Gloucestershire they were the florist we always used. Theresa was fab to work with, I took in one picture and she then put together everything around that. I knew the flowers I wanted to use, mainly peonies, hydrangeas, roses and lily of the valley, all very fragrant flowers. They did all the flowers for the church, reception, bouquets etc. We both wanted all white/ivory flowers. Cowley Manor is such an amazing building and so beautifully decorated we knew there was no point trying to compete with that."

"We wanted music throughout the day so we had a jazz band play through the drinks reception, they were absolutely fantastic and played all our favourites. In the evening we had The Chip Shop Boys who were unbelievably amazing, I’d never been to a wedding where every guest was dancing and they managed to achieve that.....it was fab."

"We named our tables after our favourite Caribbean islands, we put a map of each island in a picture frame and put that on the tables."

"At the reception, again it was candles everywhere, in the living room and bar where the evening’s entertainment took place we had Miller Harris Fleur Oriental (which is my favourite smell in the world) candles all around which made the room smell delicious."

"There were sooo many special moments. It was simply the very best day from start to finish. The church service was really special and perfect. Rhyd’s Mum had arranged for two opera singers to sing whilst we signed the register, it was absolutely beautiful. Seeing all our family and friends on the terrace in the sunshine listening to the jazz band was so lovely. All the speeches were brilliant.....My Dad’s, Rhyd’s and Tom’s.......all hilarious and so lovely. My sisters arranging the ‘World Premiere’ of my Hen Do video at the reception.........simply the funniest thing I have EVER seen.....very embarrassing too! The Chip Shop Boys doing Hey Jude and Nessum Dorma............unbelievable."

"We must say a special mention to everyone involved in making our wedding day so brilliant, all the suppliers were fantastic and made the planning so easy for us. All the staff at Cowley Manor were fantastic in particular Marianne (Events Coordinator) and Elliot (Manager), we really could not have asked for a better day."
