Emma and Huw were married in September last year at Hill Place, Swanmore.

They first met while they were at University and were introduced by mutual friends. "We got engaged when we were on holiday in New York, visiting friends. We were strolling through a quiet part of central park when Huw proposed. It took me by complete surprise and was the perfect end to a wonderful trip."

It's always really exciting when I get sent a collaborative shoot. A team of great, talented people getting together to create something beautiful to inspire couples planning their wedding.

Having taken part inseveral of them myself, they're a great way to be able to try something you wouldn't normally get the opportunity to do and to work with people you may have admired from afar.

This shoot, which took place at Surrey wedding venue Fetcham Park, was inspired by Marie Antoinette and was created by the small but perfectly formed team of photographer Eddie Judd, Cakes by Krisanthi, Nicole Lieu and Idyllic Days.

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for reading my blog, submitting beautiful weddings and wonderful industry interviews over the last two and a half years, all of which have filled my blog with great photography and inspiration for those who read it. I’ve also had great feedback from brides as well as wedding planners who use our supplier directory in order to help them find their perfect team of wedding professionals.

Due to the fact that I am still very much focussing on my son, Oliver, as well as some new professional projects, it is time for me to allow The Ebury Collection to expand in its own direction. This has not been an easy decision to make as I have spent over two years developing and building the brand, but my heart knows that it is time to let go and allow some new life to be injected into it.

I first discovered Gillian's amazing bridal headpieces and jewellery at the Designer Wedding show at Battersea back in January 2008, whilst looking for something to wear for my own wedding.

I fell in love with her beautiful, hand-made collection of vintage-inspired headpieces, "We recycle antique pearls, vintage jewels and pieces of jewellery bringing something old into something new. We even hide a little blue swarovski crystal into the jewellery to tick the box of 'something blue'! Faux pearls, vintage glass beads and semi precious-stones are intricately wired together, creating the most beautiful and precious designs that somehow feel that you are holding onto a family heirloom, quite magical and completely unique and personal!"

A few weeks ago, Sarah Gawler and Hannah Gooch met with a top team at The Orangery in Holland Park, London, for their latest inspiration shoot.

Back in April, they'd planned to shoot in an apple orchard in Kent to time it with the blossom. But the good old British weather put a swift stop to their plans. So they thought an undercover location would be more reliable considering how much rain they've had, and they were delighted when they were given the OK to shoot at The Orangery in Holland Park.

"Dyl and I first met in a bar I worked in, in Fulham when I was at university in London. He was a regular at the bar (so to speak) and we just really clicked!

We got engaged last year in Costa Rica. We always wanted to go to Costa Rica and when the travel agents started doing great deals there again we snapped up a 2 week holiday. Half way through the holiday we decided to hire a car and drive down south and stay in a beautiful treehouse lodge that one of my friends had recommended.

Katie and Jamie celebrated their wedding on 24th March at Clandon Park, Surrey.

They met 6 years ago when they were both performing in “Starlight Express” in Germany (a musical theatre show on rollerskates!).

"Jamie proposed last year when he took me to our favourite hotel in the New Forest. When we checked in he suggested we opened some champagne to which I replied “ But its the middle of the afternoon, why would we do that? Let’s save it for later” He tried again and I refused again until he eventually got the ring out and we immediately burst into hysterical laughter for about 5 mins and couldn’t stop. After eventually saying yes after the giggling we were officially engaged!"

"He thought about doing it on the plane but was a little nervous that if she said no it would be an awkward 9 hours and 3 day trip. We got to New York and Paul thought about proposing at so many different points and bottled it each time. It got to day two and with time was running out, the plan was to do a spot of shopping and then head to Central Park. Paul thought – perfect I’ll propose in Central Park – ideally romantic albeit a little unplanned." As they were walking, Susie thought he was acting strange, squeezing her hand really tight and not saying much but just thought he was distracted by how much he’d just spent on a new watch! They went and sat on the grass by the lake in Central Park and within 5 minutes Susie got restless and became a bit grumpy that they weren’t ‘achieving’ much. So she suggested they went for a wander and a coffee, but Paul was reluctant, he was determined that this was the place and was building himself up to it. And as his behavior got stranger Susie says she started to realise what was going on and thought ‘oh wow’. And then he rolled over onto both knees in the mud and said "you know I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me" and produced the beautiful ring. Through her sobs Susie said yes.

I don't feature many engagement shoots here. They are really an opportunity for the couple getting married to get used to spending time in front of the camera, so that on their wedding day they are relaxed and have already spent time getting to know the photographer and how they work. But something changed my mind about this shoot. I love the Hayley and Dan's style and the story that the images tell. It's a beautiful beach setting, on a sunny day and the images are just gorgeous.

New hardback wedding reports from The Wedding Reporter

Now it's not often you see a groom in a tux, and I have to say, I think Andrew, his best man and ushers look fantastic in their tuxedo's.

I also really adore lace veils, particularly the one Laura is wearing. It compliments her Bruce Oldfield gown perfectly and is so delicate and feminine.

Laura and Andrew tied the knot in December last year at St Marys and St Bartholomew Church in Hampton in Arden. Their reception was then held at Hampton Manor, Hampton in Arden. It was only a 5 minute walk between the two so worked out perfectly.

We're big fans of Zita Elze over here at The Ebury Collection and it was great to see her creativity out in full force at The Designer Wedding show last month.

I've wanted to tell you about the Zita Elze Flower School for some time, particularly the Wedding Design Course, which focuses on transforming creative thought into design for a specific wedding theme. Using Zita's inimitable approach, students start by creating a mood board to express their theme, visit Covent Garden flower market and/or an antique market to source materials, then develop and execute the designs which include a bridal bouquet, a top-table arrangement, button holes, cake decoration, etc. The students also have their work professionally photographed, so they can add them to their portfolio of work.

I recently spent the day at The Designer Wedding Show in London and was delighted to get to meet leading designer Sassi Holford, who was exhibiting her new collection at the show. Sassi creates classic wedding gowns with a contemporary edge.

Her collection is about exquisite lines and sumptuous fabrics, which echo the bride’s own style. Nothing is spared in the structure and the detail to provide the renowned Sassi Holford cut and fit and all the gowns are handmade by her first class team in her studios in Somerset.

Although she is constantly designing for her international collections and for her runway shows, Sassi still takes most of her inspiration from her clients, “I love enhancing the female shape. Brides want to walk up the aisle feeling their most beautiful, and the right wedding dress can achieve that. It has to have a little bit of theatre!”

St Michael's Church was the setting for Kathryn and Thomas's beautiful October wedding.

The things I love about this wedding? The reception table decor, I'm a big fan of pheasant feathers at the moment and their reception table centrepieces are really unique. I love the conkers too. And Kathryn's beautiful vintage fur coat is perfect for their winter wedding.

"I met Tom on my second day at university (the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester) – he was two years above me and happened to live with a friend of mine from Alnwick who introduced us. We were ‘seeing each other’ from about the second week into term and have been ever since (five and a half years later)!

Welcome back to The Ebury Collection wedding blog! I hope you've all had time to relax over Christmas and the New Year and enjoy the season.

Our first real wedding feature for 2012 is absolutely stunning, which was sent over by the fabulous wedding potographer Martin Beddall. Bride Mary didn't choose the usual route for her wedding dress, but neadless to say, her chice was a complete success. Mary also offers one of the nest pieces of advice from a bride that I've come across!

Mary and Lewis celebrated their wedding on 29 October last year. They met in 2005, getting together after Lewis DJed at a mutual friend’s houseparty. "I admired his record collection and we spent the next 18 months clocking up the miles on First Great Western trains (Lewis lived in Cardiff; I lived in London) before Lewis relocated to London. He proposed in March 2011 at one of our favourite places, a hill overlooking a beautiful beach on Cardigan Bay called Mwnt."

A 15 year long career working as an insurance broker in the city changed almost overnight after a chat with her new husband whilst lying in a sun lounger on their honeymoon!

On return from their honeymoon and with Nicola’s creative streak, her love of history and her experience of planning her own wedding, the seed of an idea was taking shape.

Back in May this year, Hertingfordbury Church was the perfect venue for Amy and Jamie to exchange their wedding vows...

"Jamie and I have known each other for years. We met through mutual friends. We dated for a while and whilst I was certain I was head of heels in love, Jamie wasn’t quite ready to commit. We always remained in touch and went on the odd date. On my 21st birthday, Jamie arrived at my house with flowers and a bottle of champagne and since then we have been inseperable!

I knew Jamie was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, Jamie is very reserved and does not often show emotion and is not by any means Mr Romantic. When he proposed, I could hardly speak, the tears said it all.

Jamie designed my ring and asked my parents for their approval, taking the ring to show them. I would love to have been a fly on the wall – he didn't sleep at all the night before and I was completely oblivious to all of this.

He proposed one Sunday morning after I profusely declined his offer of breakfast in bed – little did I know his plan was to put the ring on the tray!

If you're planning a winter wedding and just can't find that perfect little finishing touch for your tables, then you might have just found them.

Each piece is handmade by skilled artisan Carys Boyle. Carys produces a range interior accessories, jewellery and buttons using porcelain which make ideal gifts and decorations for weddings.

Her inspiration for these minimalist forms comes from the coastal environment. She is interested in how the sea affects objects found on the shore and photographs and sketches these to design her work. She is particularly drawn to the organic forms of driftwood, the smooth contours of pebbles and the patterns created by seaweed left on sand and rocks and this is evident in her work. Slip casting is used as a starting point, and then the forms are slip trailed and manipulated to create pieces that are a lot stronger than their delicate appearance.

As some of you might already know, I love an inspiration shoot. Especially ones that are full of creativity and imagination.

I received an email from Gemma at Planet Flowers, asking whether I would like to feature a shoot where she'd recently collaborated with Blue Sky Photography. Now Gemma is one very talented florist and has created some of the most unique and inspiring floristry I've seen, and together with the brilliant photogaphy of Blue Sky, I literally didn't hesitate to say yes.... even though it's not a bridal shoot, there is more than enough inspiration for any a winter wedding.

Today I'm so pleased to be able to share Cora and Reuben's wedding with you. And rather unusually but something I'm pretty excited about, is that this time the story is told by Reuben, the groom! You just must read it. It's the most brilliant and humorous account of their engagement...

Cora and Reuben first met each other in a bar with two groups of mutual friends. Both were in relationships with other people at the time. However, some months passed by at which point both were single again, and started dating. Reuben continued the story... "Things seemed to be going well when one night we were in a pub (not that we always met in drinking dens) & Cora announced to me that she was moving to San Francisco forever!

I love the unique and recognisable romantic style to her wedding dress designs and her use of lace too. One of my favorites from her new collection is mid-way through the film, a gown with full length puff sleeves. A beautiful vintage inspired design.

Fetcham Park launch | Surrey wedding venue

The 30 October saw a lavish event to mark the launch of a new wedding venue - Fetcham Park in Surrey.

Fetcham Park is a Grade II listed, Queen Anne mansion set within beautiful grounds, which were originally designed by Capability Brown.

On entering the house, you are greeted by the most impressive murals by renowned French artist Louis Laguerre, which date back to the 1700s. The murals surround the staircase and ceilings of the reception hall and will make for the most wonderful wedding photographs.

The Shell room houses yet another magnificent ceiling painting, a unique chandelier as well as ornate plaster work and gilding.

The glamorous event was hosted by Laura Coudery, the custodian of Fetcham Park, along with Miss Bush Bridal Wear and Tigerlilly Weddings.

After first meeting at the Glastonbury festival in 2007. Mikey eventually proposed to Anya at midnight on New Years Eve 2010 whilst kneeling at the end of their son Leo’s cot.

They went on to celebrate their wedding on 9 October at Nutfield Priory Hotel and Spa in Surrey.

"The night before the wedding my chief bridesmaid, my sister, my best friend and I all stayed at the hotel and had a lovely meal. It was brilliant to have them around to support me and celebrate my last night. However I was so nervous the next morning I got up at 6:30am and went to the gym. I later ruined all that good work by having a big fry-up!"

Grace and Patrick's beautiful wedding was held at St Thomas' Church in Aboyne, followed by their tipi reception in the grounds of Kincardine Castle,

"Paddy and I met in 2004 when we both worked for Mark Warner in Meribel in France during a ski season. After the season ended we both lived and worked in London and have been together ever since.

We got in engaged on 5th November 2010, we were actually going on holiday the next day for 2 weeks to Brazil. My last day at work had been chaotic and very busy and so i had not had any time to think about Paddy's casual request to meet him in St Pauls after work. When I arrived at the tube station, Paddy called me and as he had cycled down asked me to meet him half way to where he had parked his bike. We met outside St Paul's Cathedral, a place that we both think is very beautiful and special.

After a beautiful engagement in in Cinque Terre, Italy, Stefan & Louise tied the knot in August at the beautiful Belmont Abbey in Hereford.

Their reception was held at nearby Hellens Manor. We both wanted a wedding that showed off the beauty of the venue and of the Herefordshire countryside. I’m addicted to flowers and lights so wanted as many garden flowers as possible throughout and then as many lanterns and lights for when the sun set. The straw bales fitted in perfectly. There were donkeys, ponies and horses so there was definitely the countryside theme going on! Thankfully the weather was perfect so the straw bales really helped everyone to mingle and enjoy the summer evening.

Stacey-Marie from Cherry Topped Bespoke Weddings who helped us organise the wedding from the start, was there to suggest options for each element of our wedding day after we talked through our likes and dislikes. Overall in terms of design, we wanted something using summery pastel colours and to incorporate a subtle Mary Poppins theme (a film we both enjoyed as children) together with hints of French and English and to incorporate the places we have travelled to together.

We chose sky blue and mint green as our colours, this ran through the ribbons, confetti, outfits, stationery and even into the personalised cocktails we had in the evening (“The Clementine” blue lagoon & “The Olivier” mojito cocktails!).

We commissioned a silhouette artist to do silhouettes of us both (with Olivier holding a fencing sword as he enjoys fencing) which we used throughout our wedding day stationery. The silhouettes had slight Mary Poppins connotations and the stationery style and design was called “Ooh La La”, giving a nod to the French style.

Good morning to you all, I hope you had a beautifully sunny weekend. What a fabulous way to end the summer!

Today's wedding has to be up there as one of my favourites, not only do I love the styling and beautiful details but Yaxley Hall holds a special place in my heart. It's where I was married back in June 2008. In fact, Richard and I were one of the first couples to marry outside in their 'Gothic temple' just as Amy and Oliver did.

I really loved going through all their photographs from their wedding, it brought back so many lovely memories. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Kara and Sean's wedding is oozing with autumnal inspiration.

"Fall is my favorite time of year, it is so beautiful and rich, and was the unifying theme for every decoration for the wedding and reception. I also incorporated birds wherever I could.

The wedding was held in our little church, Grace Church of Tallahassee and was adorned with just a few decorations. Wreaths made by our florist greeted our guests when they arrived through the front doors of the church. Bows with pine cones in the center of them draped the pews, handmade by my sister and mother."

Planning our wedding was more of a learning process for Kara and Sean. "We love to laugh and we're not fancy. When I finally realised we needed to use these attributes, instead of trying to play the traditional bride, I made our gleeful simplicity as the basis of every decision. Finally, everything started falling into place.

Shot by Julian Beattie at Kondalilla Falls in Brisbane, he beautifully describes the shoot...

"It was cold. It is of course the hinterland, after all. But it still had to be said, it was cold. It had been raining for a week straight before we decided to go down to the falls and even in the height of summer, let alone winter, it is cold. Rain, hail or shine, we said; that didn’t mean the rain was about to let up and be kind to us, though. Engagement session or no, it didn’t stop. So, formal attire and all we trekked to the base through a cold, damp rainforest; still teeming, swarming with life. We reached the base… and started shooting. I told them to bring a change of clothes. Thankfully, they did.

"We first met through work, as we both work as journalists. We'd become good friends before we started dating, and the rest is pretty much history.

Asking Kate's father for her hand in marriage was far more daunting than proposing to Kate. But on the day, she was so shocked that it took a while for her to eventually say "yes"!!

I'd been working for several weeks in South Africa, which is when I realised how much I missed Kate and how much I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. So while I was out there I bought the diamond for her, and had it put in a ring when I got back. I'm quite glad she said yes, as I'm not sure how I'd have got my money back for that diamond!!"

"Kevin was sharing a flat in Camden with a friend of mine, Aizat, whom I met at college in Brighton. After we left college, we kept in touch and I would visit Aizat on weekends or weekday evenings whenever I was in East London. Kevin and I didn't talk much other than Kevin offering me a coffee or dinner. Coming from an Asian background, I was very touched by this gesture as men don't usually cook or make coffee for their guests! I also find his habit of reading every night before he goes to bed very endearing, in other words a cultured trait of a man.

Lizzie and Daniel tied the knot on 10 April last year at Clandon Park in Surrey.

They met at University and 8 years later got engaged in Paris, a few months before they moved to Singapore together.

Lizzie tells me... "Daniel planned an amazing few days where we spent time in our favourite places in London and Paris before heading home to Surrey to celebrate with friends and family. We waited until we got to Singapore to buy the ring, where we were able to design it together and get the ring made by a local bespoke jeweller."

Carly and Jonathan's wedding took place on 14 May this year at Willows Lodge on Woodinville, WA (US).

"Our wedding day went wonderfully! I think one of the best parts is that it starting raining just after the last person came inside to the reception area after our outdoor ceremony. It’s like it was just waiting for us to go inside to pour a little “good luck” rain over our day."

I LOVE Carly's dress... "The dress I chose was one of the first that caught my eye when I was looking online. I tried it on in the store, and although I tried maybe 5 other dresses, I didn’t like them as much as that one and soon went back and bought it."

Amy and Eric's wedding took place on 2nd October last year at Dove Barn in Groton, Suffolk.

They first met in January 2008 at a mutual friend’s party who was off travelling. They then got engaged themselves, 20 months later in South Africa at the end of their own travelling trip!

Amy tells me what plans they had for their day...

"Eric and I really just wanted to celebrate with our closest family and friends with a big party. We aimed to have a relaxed, informal atmosphere where everyone was having fun."

Sonja and Andrew's urban wedding

I've a very lovely wedding to share with you this morning, that of Sonja and Andrew who tied the knot on April 9 this year.

Andrew is an architect and Sonja, a historic preservation planner. In fact, two historic buildings brought them together. "I was working on preservation of the existing historic buildings, while Andrew was working on new design around them. Luckily, we had team meetings for several months--we met under the romantic lights of a conference room!

We got engaged about two years later - I had planned a weekend trip to NYC for Andrew’s birthday, and on our last day there he proposed."

Coral and Phil tied the knot in March at South Farm, Shingay-Cum-Wendy. Coral wore a beautiful, customised Jenny Packham gown, in fact Coral customised and DIY-ed much of their wedding, including their wedding stationery and table decorations and flowers.

Coral and Phil, who both work in television, have a lovely engagement story...

"I was supposed to be working on How To Look Good Naked, but they cancelled me at the last minute as one of the episodes had to be dropped due to time constraints. So instead of going to work for Channel 4, I ended up working in development at children’s BBC.

I had seen Phil around and I knew his name, but I’d never spoken to him before. I was surprised to hear that he was Scottish! Our first real conversation was about food. If you're a bride who's looking for a little more than a dainty blue ribbon sewn into the lining of your dress, which is a lovely idea on it's own by the way(!), then I have some inspiration for you here.

You don't have to go full on with the blue, but you can mix it up a bit. How about blue painted nails, a blue and green hydrangea bouquet like the one below and a blue flower in your hair? Or maybe a fabulous pair of petrol blue satin heels?

Graeme and Kristi were married at Dalmunzle Castle, nestled in a highland valley, on 29 January this year. A misty, early morning clay-pigeon shoot was followed by a traditional scottish hand-fasting ceremony. They shared their day with family and friends and their beautiful little dog Biba.

This has to be one of the most spectacular settings I've ever featured. Beautiful scottish, rolling countryside with not another building to be seen for miles.

Kristi is such an elegant bride, I adore her embellished gown and love the way the heavy champagne satin catches the light. Her jewelled earrings, faux fur shrug and crystal brooch are the epitome of sophistication.

Amy and Andy’s beautiful, whimsical 'Alice in Wonderland meets country garden' wedding was set in an incredible artists home in the country, surrounded by sculptures, a freshwater pool, a frog pond, tall trees, jazz and soft coloured flowers.

Amy let her bridesmaids choose their own dresses, and her mum and sister arranged the flowers. I love the little white rabbits at each place setting, the Ace of Hearts as their initials, and the Heart card suit table numbers.

The Royal wedding couldn't have been more perfect, could it?

We do pomp and pageantry so well, and I felt so proud to be British yesterday.

We witnessed a great and happy moment in history. It went without a hitch, and we didn't even see the rain that had been predicted all week.

I really admire how Kate kept it perfectly classic, and regal. Her Sarah Burton (of Alexander McQueen) dress was so perfect, elegant and timeless. Reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress, it will influence weddings for years to come.

We've been looking forward to this day for so long and it's finally here! The build up to Prince WIlliam and Kate Middleton's wedding has been wonderful and the whole country have really embraced the moment.

On a recent visit to London, the Union flag's were flying and the tourists were out in full force. The atmosphere was electric! As you would expect, Westminster Abbey was absolutely heaving with visitors ahead of today's wedding, and the press were getting lined up ready to report every movement of the newly married couple.

Lexi & Neil, were married on 24 July last summer at King Charles the Martyr, followed by their wedding breakfast at Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells...

"We met on a night out when I was 17. His friend was at the bar buying me a drink and I insulted his choice of shirt, which I maintain to this day was hideous!

We got engaged on Coogee Beach (a suburb of Sydney). We had gone back to our apartment for some more layers before dinner and he insisted on walking back along the shore where he got down on one knee and proposed. It was one of the most emotional evenings of my life."

"I had searched the internet, been to numerous wedding fairs and could not seem to find a photographer that suited my needs. I’m not particularly keen on being photographed and wanted everything to be about capturing the essence of the day, rather than a bossy photographer lining everyone up for standard shots. Sophie came highly recommended to me through several colleagues and having looked at her website I was convinced she was the one for me. When I met her we seemed to share the same vision (and a passion for shoes!) and I booked her on the spot."

Amy and Jamie are based in Shanghai but chose to celebrate their wedding back in their hometown of Stirling, Scotland.

Not only was their wedding a glamorous affair, but it was full of amazing flowers, which I just love.

Amy and Jamie were married on 29 January this year at St Margaret's of Scotland, Stirling followed by a reception at Glenbervie House Hotel, Larbert

Amy first met Jamie when she started a summer job as a receptionist at a local garage where Jamie was a mechanic.

Tell me about you, your background and your inspirations

"A former corporate lawyer, I left my legal career far behind me in December 2005 to follow my dream of running my own jewellery business. It was only when I got married in August 2006 that I first became obsessed with weddings and quickly realised that there was a huge gap in the market for classic, beautiful pearl bridal jewellery and hair accessories with an affordable price tag. Good morning to you all. I'm delighted to be able to share Kirsty and Brendan's wedding today, which was sent to me from the ever talented Josie Miner.

The mood of the photography is breathtaking at their February wedding, with snow on the ground, roaring fires and tumblers of whisky being favoured over the city's summer heat.

Kirsty is from Kent and Brendan from Philadelphia, they married in New York. "We had a very clear idea of the kind of place we wanted our day to be in - somewhere in need of embellishment more than decoration, with some eccentricities and old New York.

The Players is two blocks from where we live and after one viewing we both decided it was absolutely the place for us. We loved its townhouse style, the history, the eclectic range of paintings and how friendly everyone was. It was old New York but with no stuffiness.

"Will and I first met in Newcastle. Will went to University with my sister and when I went to visit her in Newcastle I met Will. After many years of visiting and going on nights out we ended up being good friends but had always had other halfs. Claire and Daniel were married at Matfen Hall in Northumberland on 27 August last year, on their 4th anniversary of being together.

"We chose Matfen to get married because we have always loved the venue anyway its beautiful and the great hall has such a wow factor. But also it meant something to us as we went there for a meal on our first anniversary. The staff at Matfen are first class and the food and service was outstanding."

They have a great engagement story...

"Dan spent months choosing a ring eventually designing it himself after researching clarity etc. But when it finally arrived he was unsure of how to propose. Dan had been on call the night before the proposal (he's an engineer) and arrived back home about 6:30am. He came upstairs to our bedroom where I was sleeping, took one look at me, thought I looked cute and decided he couldn’t wait any longer and had to propose there and then. After phoning my Dad to ask if he could marry me, he knelt by the side of the bed and woke me up. I kissed him and said “I love you so much you know, we really should just get married”.

Rebecca & Christopher were married on a gorgeous beach, in a big white tent, behind a private residence in Cape Cod.

Shot beautifully by Geneve Rege - "We found Geneve through looking at wedding blogs and websites and loving the quality of her work. We knew we wanted a photo journalistic style and a photographer who would really appreciate and capture all the little details. When we met Geneve and saw her work we knew she was the perfect person for the job. She was just incredible as our photographer."

It was a beautiful September wedding that they shared with 120 of their friends and family.

"Chris and I met doing an outdoor Shakespeare festival (Shakespeare in Delaware Park) in Buffalo, New York. We met when I was 15 and Chris 22 and we were both in a production of Romeo and Juliet. We got along well as friends but when the show ended we went our separate ways. We re-met 6 years later doing the same Shakespeare festival and fell in love.

Within seconds of seeing Brad and Melissa's wedding photos, I fell in love with it. Good morning everyone. Today I'm thrilled to be able to share Fiona and Iain's October wedding with you.

Fiona and Iain met at the end of summer 2004 when they were both paralegal temps at the same law firm in Cardiff. Iain started three days before Fiona left for pastures new. He attended Fiona’s leaving do wearing a pink shirt and that was that!

"Iain popped the question on our five year anniversary. We went out straight from work to do some shopping in the then new John Lewis in Cardiff, had a lovely meal and then went home where Iain blindfolded me and led me out into our back garden. When he took the blindfold off, he was down on one knee with a beautiful ring and the garden was full of fairy lights and candles. There were champagne and red roses and of course I said yes."

Last Thursday I was invited to Matthew Williamson's debut bridal trunk show in the heart of Mayfair.

I went along with my lovely friend Louisa from Denote Stationery. We were greeted with a glass of champagne, surrounded by beautiful flowers from Wild About, amazed by Peggy Porschen's wedding cakes and got to view Matthew Williamson's ready-to-wear collection too.

"We first met in the parking lot of Whole Foods in Venice, CA. Our engagement was only 3 months long, which was the perfect amount of time. Everyone I told that to thought I was crazy but I think they are crazy for waiting a year to get married. It all fell together perfectly."

I also was able to view some incredible bridal collections being showcased.

Temperley London's bridal collection was beautiful and very sophisticated and it's said that the collection is 'largely inspired by screen sirens of the '40s and '50s'.

A couple of weeks ago, a beautifully calligraphed envelope dropped through my letterbox. I had a sneaky suspicion that something might be on it's way, but you can imagine my utter delight when this beautiful number dropped on my doormat.

I could have torn open the envelope in haste, desperate to see what was inside, but no... this required a more delicate touch.

Inside was a lovely little note from Paul Antonio, calligrapher extraordinaire. I'd met Paul a couple of weeks earlier at the Designer Wedding Show in Battersea, where he was exhibiting. His stand was full of beautiful examples of his work and I was treated to a gorgeous little card with my name on too.

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had lovely weekends. Today I have a beautiful scottish wedding to share with you, courtesy of Blue Sky Photography.

New York-based Caroline and Stuart were married at Hopetoun House in Scotland on 9 October last year.

They first met while working together at Deutsche Bank in London in 2004 but didn’t start dating until after Caroline was offered a position in the New York office early in 2008 – timing is evidently not their strong point! They spent three months dating in London before Caroline left for New York and then made twice monthly weekend trips across the Atlantic dating long distance for around 18 months until Stuart secured a transfer to New York in Nov of 2009.

When I'm not blogging about beautiful weddings, or looking after my gorgeous but very energetic 18-month-old, I like to bake... a bit.

It started with my little boy's first birthday cake. I really wanted to make his cake, rather than buy one, for some reason it meant a great deal to me. So much so, that I stayed up beyond midnight to finish it. It was a bright green cake, covered with blue stars and paper flags.

Now, it's any excuse really: a friend's birthday, a christening or just because I feel like it. My latest creation - some cake pops!

OK, so I know there are areas I really need to work on: how to mix buttercream frosting without filling it full of air bubbles and how to get a smooth surface... Oh, and improving my piping. But I enjoy it and they taste great - so that makes me happy.

"We were away at my grandfather’s caravan in West Wales. Dave took me for a walk on the beach and asked me to turn around. He wrote “Will you marry me” in the sand before getting down on one knee with my gorgeous engagement ring.

We wanted our wedding to be a day to remember as we knew it was the biggest party we would ever have. As neither of us are religious we decided on a civil ceremony. We chose Canada Lodge due to it’s stunning setting. The simplicity of the lodge also gave us a blank canvas to create our ideal venue. We met on eHarmony. Michael piqued my interest when he mentioned in his profile that he built a working drawbridge. We had our first date at a restaurant that was halfway between our homes (where we later had our rehearsal dinner!). Michael baked me a pumpkin pie and gave it to me on our first date.

We got engaged in Bar Harbor, Maine while we were on vacation. We had just gotten up, we were in our PJs on the porch of our cottage overlooking the Frenchman’s Bay when Michael popped the question!

I love barn weddings. When I think of an image that portrays New England I think big red barns, gardens, and apple orchards. Alexis and Kash’s wedding on Saturday was held at Smith Barn in Peabody, MA. and what a great location with lots of pretty spots for photos. The ceremony was held at St. Vasilios which is a gorgeous and ornate Greek Orthodox Church just minutes from Smith Barn. Thanks Alexis and Kash for sharing your day and having such a great sense of humor, it made for fun photos of the two of you!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing Arwen and Pete's perfectly beautiful, unconventional, Melbourne wedding.

Arwen and Pete were married at Melbourne Registry Office on 15 January this year, followed by a wonderfully colourful reception for 80 guests at Bella Union, in the Trades Hall.

Their wedding was captured by the talented Sayher Heffernan. Arwen’s colleague Cate, who went to school with Sayher, recommended him.

"His website was beautiful and the style of the photos – natural, warm, unposed."

Just what Arwen and Pete wanted. When they met Sayher, the deal was sealed – he put them instantly at ease with his low-key, friendly and competent vibe. Neither Arwen or Pete realised how much time they would be spending with their photographer when they got married, and neither could have wished for a better person to spend the time with than Sayher.

"We had a wedding (instead of eloping on a beach or mountain somewhere) because we wanted to bring our families together and celebrate. For us, family (which includes close friends that have seen us through our good times and bad) is the absolute most important thing. It's what led us to our venue (my now husband's parents' backyard) and let to lots of our details (including our favours, which were homemade Greek pastries baked with love the week leading up to the wedding). We used long tables and served family-style meals so that the whole event would feel like a big family gathering. A big, fat Greek/Midwestern wedding, if you will."

I was so excited when I caught up with Kristin Spencer about Joanna and Angus' wedding, which took please last June. They had some of the most exquisite flowers I've seen at a wedding. I love the colour combination of ivory and green with a real pop of pink.

A truly beautiful wedding, with an elegant colour scheme which you see through the groom's attire, the flowers and even the table settings.

A childhood dream of mine was to get married outside, under the sunshine and amongst the trees. Unfortunately due to restrictions in this country that wasn't possible. We did however, get pretty close with our wedding in the gothic temple at Yaxley Hall in Suffolk.

I'm a big supporter of the freedom to be married wherever you like, whether it's in an orchard, the woods, a vineyard, on top of a mountain or in your back garden.

The Any Campaign, set up by Penny from Tino & Pip Photography is hoping to get things changed. The law states that a marriage ceremony venue must have a roof, be moored to its foundations, and licensed by the local registrar and that the ceremony must take place between 8am and 6pm.

Run by UK based Louise Annable, Bookity began as a way for her to recycle books that no one wanted - ones that suffered from unfortunate coffee stains on the pages or were just hopelessly out of date.

“I use these books to create unique and beautiful gifts and decorations, ranging from paper garlands to book handbags. I love old combining illustrations, cheesy book covers, aged brown paper and beautiful fabrics. I make sure that I never use books that are rare or valuable.

By their very nature, most of my products are unique but I do find that certain designs and concepts are very popular, such as garlands for weddings, parties and celebrations, and book handbags for gifts.

"After 30 years of going to weddings and being in 10 weddings, I had a pretty good idea of what I didn’t want to incorporate in my own wedding… trick was, I wasn’t exactly sure about everything I did want. I started asking myself questions and thinking back to some of the weddings I’d been to that I really enjoyed. I envisioned different aspects of my special day and took note of what I was drawn to. Tearing out pages of magazines and reading blogs helped me further define my wedding style. I started with a quilt that I had found on etsy.com (see below) that my parents purchased for me as a Christmas gift. Before i knew it, I had pieced together a cohesive and unified look that I was more than pleased with.

Following on from my subtle summer colour mood board on Sunday, which featured a couple of beautiful non-white wedding gowns, I wanted to bring together some more ideas for those of you who are looking for a wedding dress that either isn't white, or isn't traditional. It's an emerging trend, one that is tipped to become really popular over the next 12 months.

I've done a few mood boards for you, most based on colour, one particularly that's for those of you who are looking for a real pop of colour. There is also one mood board that touches on vintage and vintage-style gowns ... both non-white and non-traditional.

All of the dresses have all been chosen for their unique style, whether full tulle skirts or more slim, silky, floaty gowns. Knee or full length gowns, simple or covered in ruffles, rosettes, accented by feathers or covered in heavy beading. They are all, however a little bit different. Some new and some genuine vintage pieces.

Today I've pulled together some subtle summer colour ideas for you.

This pallet is great if you're looking to inject a bit of colour into your wedding but don't want anything too vibrant.

Why not go against tradition and consider a dress in a colour other than white, or have a second dress to change into after the ceremony? If you have one dress, accessorise with a coloured sash or shoes.

You can accessorise your venue with vintage china, highlighted with gold, on pastel coloured tablecloths. Mix floral centrepieces with candle sticks painted in a mix of subtle colours. Tie pale green, purple and orange ribbons in the trees and shade from the sun with colourful parasols.

Colin and Lee celebrated their Civil Partnership, after 17 years together, high above London's streets on 12 September 2010. Located one hundred feet above Kensington High Street in central London, The Roof Gardens and Babylon restaurant are truly spectacular.

Thank you to the lovely Kirsten Mavric for submitting this fabulously colourful and sunny wedding.

The roof gardens at Kensington feature three themed gardens. The gardens sprawl over 1.5 acres with more than 70 full size trees including fully grown oaks and fruit trees growing in just 1.5m of soil, and a flowing stream stocked with fish and wildlife. There are even resident ducks and flamingos that have to be put to bed at night!

Micaela started studying ceramics at college in London. She’s has been working in clay for 22 years and has been a ceramic instructor for over 10. She started Clara French in 2007.

I’ve been working as a ceramicist since graduating with a BFA in 1994. But I never thought about what I would do with my degree when I finished school. I just loved ceramics and creating things and hoped that the rest would follow.

My grandmother was a photographer and introduced me to art when I was a child. I have many fond memories of visiting art museums & galleries. She provided me with an abundance of art supplies and encouraged me to create and I’ve never stopped.

Beautiful. Really, it’s the only word that can sum up Joanna and Mark’s vintage inspired wedding. I absolutely love Jo’s remade gown by Kate Halfpenny gown and the carpet lavender stems in the entrance to the church, what a lovely idea.

Jo and Mark were married last summer with a garden reception at Jo's parent’s home.

Jo's dress was a tulle 50s design by Kate Halfpenny, which she beautifully remade for me, customising it with a huge handpainted silk flower corsage and long dusky pink washed silk sash. My vintage-style pale pink net veil was handmade by Rio designer Muggia.

Voewood, found in Norfolk, is an extraordinary Grade II listed Arts and Crafts country house that has been restored to the highest standard. It combines an interior that includes bold designs while remaining true to the essence of the original building. The house was built largely from stone quarried from the land, thus creating beautiful sunken gardens and croquet lawns.

Voewood was built between 1903 and 1905, and over the years has been a rental home, a private boys school and even a rest and convalescence home. Sir Nikolaus Pevsner describes it as "by far the most interesting building in this part of Norfolk, a violently idiosyncratic house reminiscent of Gaudi's work in Barcelona".

Daniel and Maegan were married in a gorgeous garden setting in eastern Australia.

Around 80 of Dan and Maegan's close family and friends from all over Australia and New Zealand attended the ceremony in the gardens.

The flowers were in full bloom, with Dan and Maegan's Pastor holding a lovely ceremony while a few of their wedding party sang some acoustic tunes. There wasn't a dry eye... in the garden.

After the ceremony, they ducked into the rainforest for some more beautiful photography and then made their way up to the Urban Loft for a gorgeous reception overlooking the sparkling night lights.

Kirsty and Neil's intimate Italian wedding

Although my husband and I were married (and very happily so) in England, I can understand the romance of marrying abroad and if I were to do it, Tuscany would be a the top of my list.

Today Ebury is featuring the beautiful and intimate wedding of Kirsty and Neil who were married in July 2010. Their cermony was held at Santa Maria a Chianni, followed by their reception for just 30 close friends and family at Villa Gambassi.

They had a bigger celebration once back in the UK for 150 of their friends who couldn't make it to Italy.

The Church and the ceremony were the most special moments and also walking down the aisle with my dad - I wont forget those bits! The horse and carriage was very special too - it was a lovely time away from all the madness of the day to just be together alone after the service. And also, I loved Rob’s speech and just being with all our family and friends under one roof. Finally, Rob organised for a very swish looking Porche to take us away at the end of the night - with the hood down and we were sat in the back - it was a great end to the day!

We met at Exeter university in 2002 in our first year. It was my birthday at the Fresher’s Ball!

Robert took me on a surprise afternoon/evening to Amberley Castle in West Sussex. We were stood at the top of one of the turrets, with the resident white peacock watching he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him (7 years to the day we first met). We then had dinner and the next day we played golf together on the coast.

Following on from our autumnal wedding inspiration board, I've brought together some ideas for a black and white theme. Although contrasting colours, done well, together they can look very chic and elegant. You can even add a little pop of colour, as you can see below, with your bouquet.

Be careful not to over-do the black, and with a warmer white, maybe an ivory or very pale blush white you can create something that is incredibly sophisticated.

Laura and Chris were married on 11 September in Castello di Firenze, Tuscany.

Thanks to Erica, from Tuscan Dreams for submitting Laura and Chris's wedding.

We met at work and got on like a house on fire from day one. We went on our First date on the 11th September (this is why we choice this date to get married)

Chris booked a surprise trip to Paris as a Christmas present. The night we arrived he proposed and we went to the George V for Champaign to celebrate.

Geba Gorge is an hour’s drive down into the center in a 4 x 4. Kabryn & David came up with the concept for this shoot as the Gorge is a place where Kabryn spends a lot of time riding her horse. We had to obtain special permission from the owner to gain access in our two vehicles as the little waterfall is on their private property. Kabryn’s mom rode her horse down which took about an hour.

Due to the baking hot African sun we headed down to the beach about an hour or so after dawn for Trash The Dress style shoot with the Kabryn & David spending some quality time together and submerging themselves into the Indian Ocean. Designer shades, check. Limo, check. Red carpet, check!  This was a reception entrance like no other. The bride and her ladies were in the white Limo and the boys with David in the black Limo. All of the guests lined the street outside Harvey’s Restaurant in Florida Road with hands full of confetti, ready to welcome the bridal party. Music blaring the couple played their parts of “cool celebrity” to the tee. In the Father of the Bride’s words “You’ve Got Style An’ All!”

Mormon wedding ceremony’s are held in temples where no photography is permitted and so the format of this wedding may seem a little unusual. Kabryn and David had flown up to Jo’berg the day before for the religious part of their wedding celebration and had therefore already seen each other in their wedding outfits. It seemed fitting then that the entire wedding party should prepare for the reception together at one of the most amazing houses I have ever been to.
